What you will do

• Perform complex CT examinations, including contrast-enhanced, trauma, oncology, and emergency imaging procedures, following departmental protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assist CT Leads in managing and coordinating CT services across designated hospital sites, contributing to efficient and effective service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to IR(ME)R regulations, and other relevant standards, maintaining compliance and promoting patient safety.
• Support the development and review of CT protocols and imaging pathways, engaging in service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and department efficiencies.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• HCPC Registration as a Radiographer.
• Evidence of postgraduate CT training or substantial specialist CT experience.
• A comprehensive CPD portfolio related to advanced CT practice.

Registration & Compliance

• Current HCPC registration.
• In-depth knowledge of IR(ME)R 2017 and related radiation protection standards.
• Understanding of safeguarding, Clinical Governance frameworks, and equality legislation.
• Dedication to maintaining robust Quality Standards in Imaging (QSI).
