What you will do
- Perform complex CT examinations, including contrast-enhanced, trauma, oncology, and emergency imaging procedures, following departmental protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Assist CT Leads in managing and coordinating CT services across designated hospital sites, contributing to efficient and effective service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to IR(ME)R regulations, and other relevant standards, maintaining compliance and promoting patient safety.
- Support the development and review of CT protocols and imaging pathways, engaging in service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and department efficiencies.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
- HCPC Registration as a Radiographer.
- Evidence of postgraduate CT training or substantial specialist CT experience.
- A comprehensive CPD portfolio related to advanced CT practice.
Registration & Compliance
- Current HCPC registration.
- In-depth knowledge of IR(ME)R 2017 and related radiation protection standards.
- Understanding of safeguarding, Clinical Governance frameworks, and equality legislation.
- Dedication to maintaining robust Quality Standards in Imaging (QSI).
