KPI Education is recruiting an exceptional Graduate Academic Mentor to join an ambitious secondary school and sixth form in Islington, North London.

This is not a conventional Teaching Assistant position.

The school wants an academically strong graduate who can become a role model, mentor and source of inspiration for young people while gaining outstanding experience for their own future career.

Graduate Academic Mentor – The Opportunity

• £25,000–£30,000 per annum
• Alternatively, an equivalent weekly rate of a minimum £550 per week
• Full-time position throughout the 2026/27 academic year
• Support pupils across KS3, GCSE and potentially A-Level
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group academic interventions
• Work predominantly within your degree specialism where possible
• Support pupils targeting the highest GCSE grades
• Mentor students considering Russell Group and competitive universities
• Develop revision, examination and independent study strategies
• Learn directly from experienced teachers and senior leaders
• Gain exposure to lesson planning, assessment and curriculum delivery
• Excellent preparation for teacher training from September 2027

A 2:1 or First-Class degree is highly desirable.

Previous school experience isn't essential. What matters is that you're academically strong, articulate, ambitious and able to build positive relationships with young people.
