An inclusive and forward-thinking SEN primary school in Leeds is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full-time, long-term role will run for the entire academic year, providing an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience supporting children with a range of additional needs.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
• Full-time, long-term position (Monday to Friday)
• Earn up to £540 per week
• Gain invaluable experience within a highly supportive SEN primary school
• Work alongside experienced SEN professionals and specialist support staff
• Excellent preparation for a PGCE, teacher training, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or other specialist pathways
• Start date: September 2026

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for graduates who are:
• Educated to degree level with a 2:1 or above (Psychology, Education, and other core academic subjects are particularly desirable)
• Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
• Strong communicators who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Experienced in working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, youth work, or SEN support (desirable but not essential)
• Eligible to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role

The Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils aged 4-11 who have a variety of additional needs, including:
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Moderate learning difficulties
• Speech and language needs
• Social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges

You will provide targeted 1:1 support, assist with small-group interventions, and collaborate closely with teachers and specialist staff to ensure every pupil can access learning and reach their full potential.
