Dental Hygienist in Shrewsbury, West Midlands

We are recruiting for a Dental Hygienist to support a mixed practice with a strong private focus in Shrewsbury on a locum basis. This Dental Hygienist role offers a structured short-term booking with set dates, providing consistency while maintaining flexibility. The practice delivers high-quality patient care in a modern clinical environment. This opportunity is ideal for a Dental Hygienist seeking well-organised locum work over a four-week period.

Working with Flourish Medical as a Dental Hygienist offers you:

• £40–£45 hourly rate which equates to approximately £76,800–£86,400 per annum based on a 40-hour week
• Locum booking covering 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th February and 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th March
• Two days per week for four weeks
• Mixed practice with a predominantly private patient base
• Clear schedules and confirmed dates in advance
• Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement

Required Skills & Experience for this Dental Hygienist:

• GDC registration as a Dental Hygienist
• Proven UK dental practice experience
• Confidence working independently with a full hygiene diary
• Experience within private or mixed dental practices
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Suitable for Dental Hygienist, Locum Dental Hygienist and/or Private Dental Hygienist.

As a Dental Hygienist, your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering high-quality periodontal treatment and hygiene therapy
• Providing preventative dental care and tailored oral health advice
• Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records
• Working collaboratively with dentists and the wider clinical team
• Managing appointment schedules efficiently
• Ensuring full compliance with infection control standards

This role is based in Shrewsbury and is easily commutable from surrounding areas including Telford, Wellington, Oswestry and wider Shropshire locations, making it a convenient option for Dental Hygienists travelling from across the region.
