Clinical Lead Nurse in Edgbaston, West Midlands

Flourish Medical, in partnership with a welcoming dementia-focused nursing home in the Edgbaston area of the West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join their team. Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the clinical team, providing supervision, guidance, and clinical expertise
• Ensure safe, person-centred, dementia-specific care for all residents
• Monitor clinical performance, complete audits, and implement action plans
• Work closely with MDT professionals, families, external agencies, and stakeholders
• Support the Registered Manager during inspections and maintain CQC compliance
• Lead on safeguarding, medication management, infection prevention, and clinical risk management
• Support recruitment, induction, supervisions, and staff appraisals
• Deliver clinical training and competency assessments for the nursing and care team
• Assist with rota management, task delegation, and day-to-day staffing support
• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation in line with GDPR and NMC requirements

Essential skills and experience:

• Current NMC registration (active PIN)
• Previous experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, dementia care, legislation, and clinical best practice
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and support a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in audits, quality assurance, and clinical governance

This role is based just outside of central Birmingham, easily commutable from Edgbaston, Kind Heath, Kings Norton, Halesowen and the wider west midlands area. It has excellent transport links across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
