We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join our client’s beautiful nursing home and oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care across their setting in the heart of Birmingham. As a Clinical Lead your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the clinical team, providing guidance, supervision, and clinical expertise.
- Ensuring safe, evidence-based, and person-centred care is delivered to all service users.
- Acting as a role model for clinical excellence and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Monitoring clinical performance and outcomes, conducting regular audits and implementing action plans where necessary.
- Liaising effectively with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, families, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting the Registered Manager in regulatory inspections and ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Leading on safeguarding, medication management, infection prevention, and clinical risk management within the service.
- Assisting with recruitment, induction, and development of clinical staff, including conducting clinical supervisions and appraisals.
- Developing and delivering clinical training and competency assessments for nursing and care teams.
- Managing rotas, delegating clinical tasks appropriately, and supporting in resolving staffing challenges.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and professional standards.
Required Skills & Experience for this Clinical Lead Role:
- Current NMC registration (Active NMC pin).
- Proven leadership experience in a clinical or senior nursing role
- Strong knowledge of current clinical practices, legislation, and CQC regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in clinical audit, quality assurance, and risk management.
