What you will do:
- Lead and manage Trust-wide decontamination services, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Oversee the operational management of the Theatre Sterile Services Unit on a daily basis.
- Provide expert advice to executive and clinical leadership teams.
- Implement governance frameworks and operational policies for decontamination.
- Maintain compliance with CQC, MHRA and national standards while driving quality assurance initiatives.
- Oversee the management and procurement of surgical instruments and medical devices.
- Develop business strategies, service reports, and funding initiatives.
- Manage staffing, budgets, and service delivery targets.
- Lead investigations and quality improvement projects.
- Represent the service in departmental and Trust-wide meetings.
- Foster the development of the Sterile Services workforce through training and supervision.
Requirements:
- Membership in the Institute of Decontamination Sciences or willingness to undertake.
- RGN (Theatres), ODP or equivalent experience.
- Strong management experience within Sterile Services or Theatre Services.
- Comprehensive project and change management experience.
- ISO standards knowledge and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead teams successfully.
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced qualifications in management or project management (PRINCE2).
- Experience in research, audit, and service development programs.
