What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload of Children Looked After, ensuring statutory duties and timescales are met.
- Undertake high-quality assessments, reviews, and care planning in accordance with legislation, policy, and best practice.
- Develop and review care and permanence plans, ensuring the child's voice and wishes are central to decision-making.
- Promote permanence through return home, adoption, special guardianship, kinship care, and other suitable arrangements.
- Work effectively with foster carers, residential providers, families, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings and reports.
- Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
- Collaborate closely with education, health, CAMHS, housing, police, youth justice, and other partner agencies.
- Advocate for children and young people, ensuring their views are represented in planning and decision-making processes.
- Support children transitioning towards independence with appropriate pathway planning.
