Main purpose of post:
To implement positive change in complex cases in children's, families', and carers' lives by using systemic social work methods, models, and tools, with the aim of helping them to be as independent as possible. To also manage and minimise risks of abuse and neglect as well as meeting care needs while exercising a high quality of professional judgement.
To lead and oversee professional judgements in the context of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.

What you will do:
- Undertake and advise on comprehensive complex assessments of children using the assessment framework, plan interventions, and review progress.
- Establish and develop collaborative working relationships with partner agencies and champion inter-agency collaboration to ensure children's safety and well-being.
- Conduct safeguarding enquiries and support the work of others involved, providing leadership in statutory cases that require a qualified children's social worker.
- Be accountable for the management of complex cases involving child protection and looked after children, ensuring all actions align with legal and policy standards.
- Support children, families, and carers in developing and executing plans tailored to their unique circumstances and aspirations.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
