What you will do

  • Undertake high-quality CAMHS triage and assessment work, ensuring the needs of children and young people are accurately identified and addressed.
  • Complete detailed specialist mental health assessments to inform care planning and treatment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive risk management plans.
  • Offer expert consultation and advice to professionals and families involved in the care of young people.
  • Manage complex cases within the assessment service, providing continuity and consistency of care.
  • Develop and implement care and treatment plans based on individual assessments.
  • Supervise Band 7 staff and assistants, fostering their professional development.
  • Utilise clinical outcome and screening measures to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team, contributing diverse professional insights.
  • Maintain accurate electronic clinical records to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Support service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in care.
  • Contribute actively to safeguarding and child protection processes.
