What you will do

• Support the dispensary with ordering, receiving, dispensing, and checking medication for wards and departments.
• Travel to various wards and units across Hertfordshire, providing crucial pharmacy services.
• Conduct medicines reconciliations to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Assess patients' own drugs and transcribe for supply, enhancing their treatment plans.
• Provide clear and compassionate counselling to patients regarding their medications.
• Participate in pharmacy-related audits, stock reviews, and service development.
• Utilize your experience to train and manage staff.
• Work effectively in a hospital setting, particularly within mental health environments, utilizing the EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.

Requirements

• Qualified pharmacy technician with a minimum of two years of experience.
• Experience working in a hospital setting, particularly within mental health environments.
• Experience using the EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.
