What you will do

• Undertake and report high-quality ultrasound examinations.

• Perform and report general abdominal, peripheral vascular, pelvic, gynaecological, and testicular ultrasound examinations.

• Provide specialist diagnostic interpretation and reporting.

• Support multidisciplinary team working and meetings.

• Assist with interventional and aseptic procedures where required.

• Supervise and support staff in training and observational placements.

• Participate in peer review and audit activities.

• Maintain high standards of patient care and ultrasound practice.

Requirements

• DMU or PGDip Medical Ultrasound from a CASE-accredited institution.

• HCPC registration.

• Post qualification Sonography experience.

• Recent NHS experience and experience in Emergency Department imaging.

• A track record of multidisciplinary team working.

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

• The ability to independently report ultrasound examinations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.

• Computer literacy and ability to produce consistently high-standard diagnostic images.

Desirable Requirements

• Evidence of leadership skills.

• Experience supporting audits and service improvement.

• Experience supervising junior staff or trainees.

• Awareness of specialist imaging modalities.
