What you will do:
- Conduct Child and Family Assessments to identify children's needs, risks, strengths, and protective factors.
- Maintain and manage a caseload of children with disabilities requiring statutory social work intervention.
- Initiate, coordinate, and monitor Child in Need (CIN) plans and meetings.
- Partner with agencies to manage Section 47 enquiries where safeguarding concerns exist.
- Prepare Child Protection reports, liaise with various partners, and coordinate Child Protection Plans.
- Engage in direct work with children, young people, and families to address identified needs.
- Advance care planning for children in care, including pathway and permanence planning.
- Prepare court statements and care plans, maintaining a high professional standard.
- Offer evidence in court hearings when necessary.
- Keep accurate and prompt case records per statutory guidance and local protocols.
- Participate in multi-agency forums, reviews, and decision-making panels.
- Promote the welfare, safety, health, education, and emotional wellbeing of children.
- Facilitate transitions to Adult Services for young people with disabilities.
