What you will do

Undertake comprehensive fostering assessments, including Form F assessments, viability assessments, and connected persons assessments in line with fostering regulations.
Provide supervision, guidance and support to approved foster carers, identifying development needs and facilitating access to training opportunities.
Assess the needs of children in foster care and contribute to care planning, permanence planning and placement stability arrangements.
Prepare reports and present assessments to fostering panels, court proceedings and internal review meetings where required.
Work collaboratively with children's social workers, health professionals, education providers and other partner agencies to safeguard and promote children's welfare.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Degree in Social Work (BA, MA or equivalent recognised qualification).
Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
Evidence of continued professional development.

Registration & Compliance

Current registration with Social Work England.

Experience

Post-qualifying experience within Children's Services, fostering, looked after children or family support services.
Experience supporting foster carers and undertaking statutory assessments.
Demonstrable experience of child-centred practice, safeguarding investigations and multi-agency working.
