What you will do:

  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessments and interventions within an acute medicine ward.

  • Assess, treat, and manage acute inpatients to optimise recovery, mobility, and functional independence.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support effective discharge planning activities.

  • Manage and prioritise a varied patient caseload, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

  • Support patient flow through proactive rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.

  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Provide education and advice to patients, families, and carers to support ongoing recovery and self-management.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.

  • Contribute to service development initiatives and support the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.

  • Current HCPC registration.

  • Previous experience within acute inpatient settings.

  • Experience supporting discharge planning and patient flow.

  • Minimum of six months' recent UK NHS experience.

  • Strong assessment, rehabilitation, and clinical reasoning skills.

  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working abilities.

  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload effectively.
