What you will do
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to Social Workers and Personal Advisers within the 16+ Team.
- Oversee assessments, pathway plans, reviews, and interventions for looked after children aged 16+ and care leavers up to age 25.
- Ensure statutory responsibilities relating to safeguarding, corporate parenting, and care leaver services are met.
- Monitor caseloads, performance indicators, service quality, and compliance with local authority procedures.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- A management or leadership qualification is a plus.
Experience
- Proven track record with significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social care and adolescent services.
- Experience solving complex cases and guiding practitioners.
