What you will do:

• Screen and triage safeguarding referrals, meticulously undertaking risk assessments and determining appropriate thresholds for intervention
• Lead on Section 42 safeguarding enquiries where required, ensuring responses are both timely and proportionate
• Work collaboratively within the Multiple Agency Safeguarding Hub, partnering with police, NHS, housing, and voluntary sector allies to share essential information
• Apply the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding policies in your decision-making processes
• Provide authoritative advice and guidance to referrers, partner agencies, and internal teams on safeguarding concerns

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Registered with Social Work England

Registration & Compliance:

• Current registration with Social Work England is essential
• In-depth understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Equality Act 2010 is required
• Proficiency in safeguarding adults procedures and multi-agency working frameworks
