Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive social work services in various settings, supporting children, young people, families, and groups within relevant legislative frameworks and procedures.

• Manage a caseload tailored to your qualifications and expertise, ensuring each case receives careful attention.

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, offering support through direct casework, supervision, shared activities, and counselling.

• Identify and assess risks related to abuse or harm to children, advising senior managers as required.

• Contribute to the development of good practice and lead in a special area of responsibility.

• Value and respect the diversity and expertise of individuals and families, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Challenge inequality and oppressive practices, working towards equitable solutions.

• Maximise resources for service users and carers, ensuring value for money in care packages.

• Case manage child protection work and represent the team in meetings and conferences, prioritising the best interests of the client.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in child and family services.

• Knowledge of statutory frameworks and guidance relevant to children and families in Wales.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and case management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
