New Job Opportunity - Programme Lead - 12 Month Contract - Based at Stansted Airport

Location: Stansted Airport (Willingness to be based on-site up to 3 days per week, then 2 works from home)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Hours per Week: 40 hrs
Vetting Level: CTC + Airside Pass preferable (BPSS minimum, can be obtained post-hiring)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Programme Lead to oversee the delivery of a multi-project programme comprising the SkyLinks, APV, and Baggage projects at Stansted Airport. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Project Managers, ensuring progress across all projects, and maintaining programme schedule integrity. The Programme Lead will play a critical role in driving delivery through final design stages into construction and installation, with a strong focus on governance, reporting, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the overall programme delivery across the SkyLinks, APV, and Baggage projects.
• Manage and support Project Managers, ensuring consistent application of governance, processes, and reporting standards.
• Oversee the programme schedule, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to avoid delays.
• Monitor progress and performance across all projects, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues.
• Report monthly to leadership teams through structured Monthly Performance Reviews, covering progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
• Support procurement activities for baggage systems and ensure readiness for installation phases.
• Maintain strong stakeholder engagement across airport operations, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout programme delivery.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading complex infrastructure programmes, ideally within an aviation environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and drive coordinated delivery.
• Excellent programme planning, risk management, and reporting skills.
• Comfortable working in live operational environments with multiple stakeholder interfaces.
• Willingness to be based on-site at Stansted Airport up to three days per week.
