This role offers a competitive salary of £26-£32 per hour with the chance to start ASAP on an ongoing basis. For a Band 6, the position is full-time, and for a Band 7, there is the option to work three days a week.

What you will do:

• Provide comprehensive assessments, treatments, and discharge planning for patients in the acute NHS inpatient setting. This includes work on medical, elderly, surgical wards, and emergency departments.
• Deliver equipment provision and work autonomously, ensuring that patient care is maintained to the highest standards.
• Utilise and manage healthcare systems such as System One, ensuring thorough documentation and efficient patient management.
• Ensure effective communication with the multidisciplinary team and contribute to regular team meetings.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety protocols, including Moving and Handling and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Requirements:

• Registered with the HCPC.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute occupational therapy setting is essential.
• Experience in covering medical, elderly, and surgical wards, as well as emergency departments, is highly desirable.
• IT competency and experience with System One is a must.
• While not essential, being a car driver is preferable for travel between sites.
