Social Worker – Advanced Practitioner (LAC/Corporate Parenting)
Location: Exeter
Pay Rate: £42 per hour
Contract: Locum, Full-time

Seven Resourcing is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner – Social Worker to join a dedicated LAC/Corporate Parenting team based in Exeter. This is a locum, full-time opportunity offering £42 per hour.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker:

• Provide professional leadership, supervision, and appraisal of staff, working closely with team managers and colleagues.
• Support the Team Manager with day-to-day operational issues, including case allocations and workload management.
• Lead on complex casework, offering guidance and co-working with less experienced social workers.
• Champion high standards of professional practice, promoting evidence-based approaches and reflective practice.
• Contribute to service development, quality assurance, and performance improvement.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional supervision to colleagues and students.
• Chair meetings and deputise for the Team Manager when required.
• Undertake complex case assessments, including court work, demonstrating autonomy and high-level decision making.

Candidate Requirements:

• Social Work qualification (BA/MA/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Substantial post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker, including complex case management and court work.
• Proven ability to provide professional supervision, mentoring, and coaching.
• Strong knowledge of LAC/Corporate Parenting practice and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
