What You’ll Be Doing
As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to raise attainment and help students thrive. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing academic support to students 1:1 and in small groups

Assisting in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science

Helping students prepare for assessments and develop effective study habits

Supporting learners who may be at risk of underachievement

Encouraging confidence, motivation, and active engagement in lessons

Contributing to data tracking and progress monitoring with staff

This opportunity would suit you if you:

Are a recent graduate (2:1 or above) in a relevant subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Psychology, Education)

Have a genuine interest in education and working with secondary-aged students

Are considering a PGCE, teacher training, or further study in education

Are proactive, patient, and enthusiastic about helping young people succeed

Have strong communication skills and work well as part of a team

Have experience working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or volunteering
