A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a driven and enthusiastic Graduate MFL Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
About the Role – Graduate MFL Teaching Assistant
As part of the school’s dedicated MFL department, you’ll work closely with experienced language teachers to support pupils across Key Stages 3 to 5. From small-group sessions to in-class support, your role will help boost student confidence, fluency, and exam performance in modern foreign languages.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting pupils in French, Spanish, or other MFL subjects

Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions

Assisting in lesson planning and classroom activities

Helping students prepare for GCSE and A-Level assessments

Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment focused on language development
Candidate Profile – Who We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from passionate and committed language graduates who:

Hold a 2:1 degree or above in a language-related subject

Are confident communicators with strong grammar and fluency

Bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a proactive attitude to classroom support

Ideally have experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering)

Are considering a future in language teaching, education, or language-based careers
