A forward-thinking secondary school in Wolverhampton is offering an exciting opportunity for motivated and knowledgeable STEM graduates to join their team as Graduate STEM Teaching Assistants from September 2025.
The Opportunity
As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with experienced teachers to support students in subjects including:

Maths
-
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
-
Computer Science
-
Engineering
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils preparing for GCSEs and A-Levels, gain classroom experience across multiple subject areas, and explore life in education from a teacher’s perspective.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to boost understanding and performance
-
Supporting lesson planning, resource creation, and classroom management
-
Helping students develop confidence and problem-solving skills in STEM subjects
-
Assisting with exam preparation and revision strategies
-
Working closely with staff to ensure inclusive and engaging learning experiences
-
Gaining valuable exposure to a range of teaching styles and educational needs
Who We’re Looking For
We want to hear from enthusiastic and committed STEM graduates who are:

Educated to degree level (2:1 or above) in a STEM subject (e.g., Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Computer Science)

Confident communicators with a passion for their subject and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

Organised, reliable, and eager to contribute to school life
-
Ideally experienced in working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work)

Considering a future in teaching, education policy, academic research, or similar pathways
