Job Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting post-award contract management activities across various internal functions. This is a hybrid role with up to 12 days per month remote working.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide support to the Contract Holder, Head of Contract Administration, and Procurement Manager in handling post-award contractual matters including procedural clarifications, disputes, and changes.

  • Attend handover meetings to obtain relevant information from internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in contractual kick-off and progress meetings alongside Contract Holders and other internal departments.

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to assigned contracts, including spend tracking and contract expiry timelines.

  • Verify that contractors have submitted all required documentation and met contractual obligations in line with regulatory frameworks.

  • Notify Contract Holders or User Units of any irregularities during contract execution.

  • Gather contractor performance data and secure Contract Holder approval for performance feedback.

  • Review and assess contract change requests and disputes for compliance with contractual terms.

  • Capture and share lessons learned from contract administration activities.

  • Review contractor claims and assess applicability of any liquidated damages or volume discounts.

  • Support the drafting and review of correspondence with contractors on post-award matters.

  • Maintain traceable and structured communication with contractors, involving relevant departments as needed.

  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of all contract management materials.

 


 

Candidate Requirements

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Law, Engineering, or another relevant discipline (preferred).

  • Proven experience in Contract Administration within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.

  • Certification in Contract Management (desirable but not mandatory).

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently across departments.

  • Contract Type: PAYE only (no umbrella or LTD)

  • Duration: 12 months

  • Location: Basingstoke (with flexible remote work – up to 12 days/month)
