What you will do:

  • Engage directly with children, conducting thorough assessments to ensure their views and wishes are represented in court.
  • Utilise your expertise in risk assessment and mediation to advocate for arrangements that best serve the interests and safety of the children involved.
  • Collaborate with families needing assistance to reach decisions on children's welfare arrangements.
  • Respond to cases where local authorities have raised serious concerns, ensuring thorough involvement and expert guidance from Cafcass.
  • Manage a range of cases independently and effectively, maintaining robust records and reports for court proceedings.


Who we're looking for:

  • Essential: Relevant Social Work qualification.
  • Essential: Registered with Social Work England regulator.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in social work, focusing on children and families.
  • Advantageous: Experience with Family Court proceedings and a solid understanding of private and public law.
  • Attributes: Organised, resilient, able to work independently and manage diverse workloads efficiently.
