What you will do:
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and formulate therapy plans for young individuals with varying needs.
- Design and deliver personalised interventions and engagement sessions that align with the therapeutic goals of each child.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting educational and residential colleagues.
- Provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to education and residential teams to enhance the living and learning environments.
- Ensure your practices comply with HCPC registration requirements and adhere to the latest NHS standards.
Responsibilities/general duties:
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. Our Occupational Therapists work collaboratively within our schools and children’s homes, ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care, and support we offer all of our children and young people. You will provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to the educational and residential teams around our children.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
