An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist within the Stroke unit in enchanting Colwyn Bay. This part-time locum position, initially set for 3 months, involves working in both early supported discharge (community) and a Stroke rehab ward in a community hospital, ideally in person. What you will do:

• Assess and manage the speech, language, and communication needs of patients recovering from stroke within the community and on the rehab ward.

• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

• Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting understanding and enhancing quality of life.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, complying with legal and professional requirements.

• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development sessions.

Required Qualifications:

You must be HCPC registered to be eligible for this role. A background in stroke rehabilitation is essential, and having experience working in a community hospital setting is highly advantageous.
