What you will do:
- Provide specialised assessment and treatment for patients within the acute stroke unit.
- Develop and implement patient-centred care plans, ensuring each individual receives tailored support.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and optimise patient recovery.
- Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process and the benefits of physiotherapy in stroke recovery.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements of the Physiotherapist:
- You should have a qualification in physiotherapy – a degree or equivalent.
- Recent experience within specialised physiotherapy is essential, particularly in acute stroke care.
- Registration with the HCPC as a physiotherapist to work in the UK is mandatory.
- While NHS experience is advantageous, it is not essential for this role.
