What you will do:

- Lead the strategic management and optimisation of high cost drugs for islanders in the community, liaising with a broad range of healthcare professionals.
- Identify cost-effective dispensing routes and provide oversight and support for the holistic management of high cost drugs.
- Develop and implement strategies for future-proofing jobs, including negotiations on rebates, discounts, and shared care guidance.
- Conduct horizon scanning, budget forecasting, and project leadership to secure maximum savings for the healthcare system.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across care groups, providing recommendations to committees and stakeholders.
- Engage in active clinical governance by reporting, investigating incidents, resolving complaints, and facilitating audits.
- Enhance medicines management via education, training, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
