About the Role:

As a Graduate Science Trainee Teacher, you'll begin your journey into teaching through an in-school training programme designed to build your confidence, subject knowledge, and classroom experience. You'll be part of a dedicated Science department and play a key role in delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the delivery of high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Working with experienced teachers to plan practical and theory-based sessions

• Leading small-group activities and intervention sessions to support student progress

• Creating a safe, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment

• Engaging in regular training and mentoring as you work towards QTS

• Contributing to department planning, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• A 2:1 degree or higher in a Science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

• A genuine enthusiasm for education and a strong interest in teaching

• Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A commitment to professional development and a career in secondary teaching
