What you will do:

  • Apply psychological theories, research, and techniques to support children and young people in educational settings, helping them overcome barriers to learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Conduct psychological assessments of children and young people with learning, emotional, social, or behavioural difficulties.
  • Deliver interventions and provide consultation to schools, families, and professionals to improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) by preparing statutory psychological advice.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals such as CAMHS and social workers.
  • Support whole-school approaches to behaviour, inclusion, and mental health.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and child protection processes.
  • Provide training and workshops for school staff and parents.
  • Conduct research and evaluation to inform evidence-based practice.
  • Promote inclusive practices and equality of opportunity.
