Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of Social Workers and professionals delivering statutory services to children and families.

  • Oversee performance against key targets and ensure quality assurance standards are consistently met.

  • Collaborate across agencies to promote joint working, equality, and integrated support services.

  • Ensure safeguarding principles are embedded in practice, while enabling children to achieve safe and successful outcomes.

  • Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and reflective practice, ensuring high standards of professional delivery.

  • Implement Sefton’s childcare and safeguarding policies to maintain effective, cost-efficient services that meet legislative requirements.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration.

  • Strong knowledge of legislation and statutory frameworks relevant to children's services.

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within children and family services.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and multi-agency collaboration skills.

  • Commitment to quality improvement and outcomes-focused service delivery.
