What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive statutory assessments, such as Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) assessments, aligning with the Children Act 1989.
- Prepare detailed evidence-based court reports, statements, and parenting assessments. Represent the information as part of care proceedings, delivering oral evidence confidently.
- Manage and review Child in Need and Child Protection plans to ensure they meet set objectives. Attend child protection conferences, core group meetings, Looked After Children (LAC) reviews, and contribute to pre-birth assessments and permanency planning processes.
- Respond strategically to crises, applying for Emergency Protection Orders and initiating Public Law Outline or other legal proceedings when necessary.
- Collaborate multi-agency, engaging with police, legal teams, health services, education professionals, Cafcass, and others during strategy meetings and continuing throughout the case lifecycle.
- Maintain precise records in electronic case systems and partake in consistent reflective supervision to enhance professional growth and performance accuracy.
