The NCT Safeguarding Services are looking for social workers eager to tackle cases transferred from DAAT at the initial stages of protection conferences or need meetings. With cases ranging widely in requirements, from initial support to potential court involvement or transferring to the Children in Care Teams, the position promises diverse challenges and the chance to make a significant impact. There’s an attractive offer of up to £150 per week for those commuting from over 60 miles away.

What you will do:

  • Engage with children and young people, responding to a variety of needs and safeguarding concerns to ensure their welfare.
  • Manage cases transferred from DAAT, guiding them through the initial stages of child protection and need assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to facilitate supportive interventions and resolutions
  • Transfer and manage cases within the safeguarding remit to other teams if circumstances escalate.
  • Contribute to the development and sharing of best practices within the team, fostering an environment of continuous professional development.
