What you will do:
- Clinically verify prescribed medications to ensure their safety, efficacy, and appropriateness.
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy advice and input to the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Counsel patients and their families on all aspects of medicine usage, including potential side effects and adherence to medication plans.
- Support the supply and management of medicines for patient leave and discharge processes.
- Contribute to evidence-based treatment plans, promoting timely and successful discharges.
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings as needed.
- Ensure all practices comply with legal, professional, and local policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:
As a motivated and experienced Bank Locum Pharmacist, you'll step in to fill temporary staffing gaps within our pharmacy services. Collaborate with a dynamic MDT to ensure the effective, safe, and evidence-based use of medicines in our inpatient services. While experience in mental health services is a bonus, it isn't essential as full training is provided on-site.

Required Qualifications:
- GPhC registration
- Minimum of one year’s post-qualification experience as a pharmacist in a UK NHS setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
