What you will do:
- Respond to direct referrals and make decisions regarding appropriate pathways and interventions for children and adults.
- Work collaboratively with South London and Maudsley Mental Health Trust, educational institutions, police forces, courts, and community organisations.
- Engage and assess the needs of children, adults, and families holistically using relevant frameworks and tools.
- Maintain records in compliance with statutory requirements, ensuring all data is handled securely and confidentially.
- Support the council’s diversity agenda by implementing initiatives for equal opportunities and continually developing your personal understanding of diversity.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Strong understanding of legislation, statutory guidance, and national policy on children’s social care
- Experience in statutory children’s social work
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends on a rota
- Must be able to travel across the borough independently
