What you will do:
- Work collaboratively with staff and students at two special schools in Birmingham, providing targeted occupational therapy input in line with the tiered model.
- Liaise with senior leadership teams to promote and embed specific priorities for occupational therapy intervention within the schools.
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored therapeutic programmes to support children with learning disabilities, Autistic spectrum condition, sensory processing differences, and behaviours that challenge.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services, meeting the diverse needs of each individual child.
- Document progress and adapt interventions as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent experience working as a UK Occupational Therapist.
- Experience within the NHS is preferred.
- HCPC registration is essential.
- Proven experience working with children with learning disabilities, Autistic spectrum condition, sensory processing differences, and behaviours that challenge.
