We are delighted to offer an exciting temporary opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Conwy, working within the Children, Families and Safeguarding Service. This ongoing, full-time role pays £37.54 per hour and is based in Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay.
In this vital frontline role, you’ll deliver a high-quality duty social work service, triage referrals, support short-term interventions, and collaborate with professionals across multiple agencies. Your work will be aligned with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014 and All Wales Safeguarding Procedures, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families at the point of referral.

What You Will Do

Deliver a high-quality duty social work service at the referral stage.

Assist the Team Manager in triaging and managing incoming referrals.

Conduct short-term interventions and signpost families to appropriate services.

Work in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014 and All Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

Collaborate effectively with other professionals within the MASH to ensure coordinated responses.
Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.

Registered with Social Care Wales.

Trained in Child Protection and Section 47 procedures.

Proficient in using IT systems for case recording and communication.

Strong interpersonal, assessment, and decision-making skills.

Must be locally based or within a commutable distance to Colwyn Bay.
