Locum Social Work Team Manager - Hospital Discharge (ARCH) Team in Stockport, earning £46 Hourly for a period of 3 months. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to step into a key leadership role at Stepping Hill Hospital, ensuring smooth and safe hospital discharges. We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable team manager with at least 3 years of experience who can handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment. This full-time position requires a minimum of 4 days on-site to provide essential support to your team, work collaboratively with partners, and manage resources effectively from 8:30am to 5pm.

What you will do:

  • Lead and supervise a dedicated team of social workers and unqualified staff in the Hospital Discharge (ARCH) Team.
  • Ensure compliance with key legislation including the Care Act, safeguarding, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Manage and support hospital discharge processes, enhancing patient outcomes and operational flow.
  • Collaborate extensively with integrated care boards, health professionals, and third-party sector partners.
  • Chair safeguarding meetings and participate in multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Oversee and develop the team to enhance their performance, inspiring them to achieve their best in supporting vulnerable adults.
