An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Pharmacy Technician to join a specialist Prison Pharmacy Team in Huntingdon. This full-time position offers competitive pay of £29.00 – £33.50 per hour and a structured Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend commitments, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. While prior prison clearance is advantageous, it is not essential to apply.

Main Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions efficiently and accurately to ensure prompt medication access for patients.

• Maintain prescription records and filing systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Collect medications from the prison gate and manage secure transfer protocols.

• Receive, unpack, and organise medical deliveries, monitoring stock levels proactively.

• Administer medications under supervision, adhering to clinical governance and pharmacy protocols.

Essential Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a pharmacy setting, ideally with exposure to fast-paced environments.

• Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and attention-to-detail capabilities.

• Desirable: Prison clearance is preferred but not essential—support may be available for obtaining clearance.
