We're seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) for a temporary position in the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team in Nottingham, UK. This is a 3-month locum position offering a competitive rate of £26 hourly. You’ll be part of a passionate team delivering top-notch, recovery-focused care to people aged 14-65 who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis (FEP) or an at-risk mental state (ARMS) for developing psychosis. This full-time role spans Monday to Friday and involves community-based work across Nottinghamshire, with the use of digital technologies to enhance service delivery.

What you will do:

  • Conduct timely assessments for service users referred to the EIP service and interpret these to identify FEP or ARMS
  • Collaborate closely with CAMHS, Crisis, and other Inpatient Services for joint assessments
  • Formulate recovery-focused care plans in partnership with service users, providing evidence-based interventions such as CBT and Family Interventions
  • Regularly employ standard outcome measures like HoNOS, QPR, and DIALOG to track progress and adapt care plans as needed
  • Engage in comprehensive risk assessments and develop dynamic risk management plans
  • Administer medication safely, including depots, and ensure regular physical health checks
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Trust Electronic Patient Record System
  • Promote the service ethos of recovery, empowerment, and informed decision-making
