A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Crewe is looking for a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, term-time role is an ideal opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain valuable, practical experience in a nurturing and supportive school environment.
Role Overview:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: Up to £550 per week

Contract: Full academic year (with potential for a permanent role)

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, speech and language needs, and emotional regulation challenges

Assist in implementing personalised learning strategies and behaviour plans

Work closely with educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and other external professionals

Support students’ social and emotional development in a structured, caring environment

Gain practical experience relevant to future postgraduate training or careers in psychology, therapy, or education
Candidate Requirements:

A recent Psychology graduate (2:1 or above preferred)

Passionate about working with children and young people with SEN
-
Patient, empathetic, and confident in building strong relationships
-
Experience in education, care, or youth work is a plus, but not essential
