Mapping Coordinator in Bristol, South West

Our Client has a requirement for a Mapping Coordinator, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Bristol.

Role Purpose:

  • This role is based within our Utility Solutions Practice, which provides utility-based products and services to a wide range of clients. The role will be based in our Bristol office in the long term, the role incorporates hybrid working with the expectation of being in the office at least 2 days per week. There is the option to work in the office everyday if preferred
  • Utility Solutions requires a Mapping Coordinator to support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions to our varied client base. Working to a high level of accuracy, the role focuses on the digitisation and georeferencing of raster data for the production of our Utility Search Map product, a composite digital model of utility assets. The role also entails the quality checking of outputs of other members of the team.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Quality checking of deliverables
  • Management of own workloads and raising any challenges to delivering this
  • Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately
  • Processing new orders
  • Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team’s processes
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product / service we provide to our clients
  • To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
  • Supporting other teams within our practice as required

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Experience using computer aided design software and GIS Mapping systems including AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
  • Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Clear, concise communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • A high level of organisation and professionalism.
