Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Team Manager to lead our Social Care Complex Team in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. This critical leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and improve adult social care delivery, driving excellence in practice, performance, and service outcomes for some of our most vulnerable residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership to a team of up to 25 social care professionals, including direct line management for 8 staff.

  • Drive effective service delivery within the Complex Team, ensuring compliance with local authority policies, statutory requirements, and budget controls.

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with residents, internal departments, elected members, senior leaders, and external agencies.

  • Oversee budget management and resource allocation, ensuring efficiency, value for money, and service continuity.

  • Lead risk assessments, business continuity planning, and performance audits to safeguard quality and sustainability.

  • Collaborate with commissioning and procurement teams to develop cost-effective service solutions tailored to community needs.

  • Promote diversity and inclusivity by implementing reasonable adjustments and supporting equal opportunities within the team.

  • Support strategic planning and innovation through collaboration with senior managers, helping to reshape and evolve the social care landscape.


About You

  • Qualified social worker with valid Social Work England registration.

  • Extensive leadership experience in adult social care or complex case management.

  • Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and high-risk cases with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills with the ability to drive service transformation and motivate teams.

  • A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and partnership-based working.
