Role Overview – Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will vary depending on the school’s needs but may include:

• Supporting pupils across Early Years, KS1, or KS2 classrooms
• Delivering focused 1:1 or small group interventions in literacy, phonics, or numeracy
• Assisting with positive behaviour strategies and classroom routines
• Helping children with special educational needs (SEND) or English as an additional language (EAL)
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working with teachers to prepare learning resources and activities

We’d love to hear from graduates who: Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

• Hold a 2:1 degree or above – subjects like Psychology, Education, English, or Social Sciences are especially relevant
• Have a natural ability to connect with children and build relationships
• Bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a can-do attitude to the school day
• Have previous experience working with young people (volunteering, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
