As a Band 5 RMN, you will provide vital mental health support across both inpatient and community settings within Surrey, earning a competitive rate of £21.00 per hour. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, person-centred, evidence-based nursing care in line with individualised care plans.

  • Administer medication, monitor effects, and ensure compliance with NMC guidelines and Trust policies.

  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and planning through risk assessments and regular case reviews.

  • Support service users in developing daily living skills and engaging in therapeutic activities.

  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate clinical records using electronic documentation systems.

  • Effectively respond to crisis situations with appropriate de-escalation techniques.

  • Create a respectful, safe, and inclusive care environment for all service users.


Essential Requirements

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

  • Previous experience in acute, community, or specialist mental health settings.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Adaptability and flexibility to work across different healthcare environments.

  • PMVA or MAPA training (preferred, though not essential for all placements).
