What you will do:

• Supervise and develop a dedicated team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Family Workers, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to enhance team performance.

• Manage the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring timely responses to the needs of children, young people, and their families, in line with statutory guidelines.

• Oversee case planning, allocation, and review processes, managing priorities to maximise impact and efficiency.

• Lead on customer service, including resolution of stage 1 complaints, ensuring a positive experience for service users.

• Recruit and manage team staffing to maintain a robust and effective safeguarding service.

• Provide expert guidance on safeguarding processes, policy implementation, and case law ensuring best practices are upheld.

• Initiate and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external professionals and agencies to foster collaborative working relationships.

• Challenge and motivate your team through individual and group supervisions, driving excellence in service and care for vulnerable children and families.

To excel in this role, candidates must have:

• Current registration with Social Work England and a valid social work qualification.

• Extensive understanding of childcare legislation, statutory guidance, and child development principles.

• Proven leadership experience with a focus on practice improvement and report preparation.

• Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities for evaluating complex scenarios.

• Commitment to anti-discriminatory practices and promoting equality.

• Ability to provide high-quality, emotionally supportive supervision and enhance staff development.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Hybrid working options available
Minimum Requirement: 3 years of post-qualification experience
