What you will do:

Supervise and develop a dedicated team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Family Workers, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to enhance team performance.

Manage the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring timely responses to the needs of children, young people, and their families, in line with statutory guidelines.

Oversee case planning, allocation, and review processes, managing priorities to maximise impact and efficiency.

Lead on customer service, including resolution of stage 1 complaints, ensuring a positive experience for service users.

Recruit and manage team staffing to maintain a robust and effective safeguarding service.

Provide expert guidance on safeguarding processes, policy implementation, and case law ensuring best practices are upheld.

Initiate and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external professionals and agencies to foster collaborative working relationships.

Challenge and motivate your team through individual and group supervisions, driving excellence in service and care for vulnerable children and families.
To excel in this role, candidates must have:

Current registration with Social Work England and a valid social work qualification.

Extensive understanding of childcare legislation, statutory guidance, and child development principles.

Proven leadership experience with a focus on practice improvement and report preparation.

Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities for evaluating complex scenarios.

Ability to provide high-quality, emotionally supportive supervision and enhance staff development.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Hybrid working options available
Minimum Requirement: 3 years of post-qualification experience
