What you will do:

  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of social workers, social work officers, and review officers ensuring performance standards and outcomes are met with a commitment to Haringey Values.
  • Set team priorities and allocate work to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to our service users and stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of service innovations and improvements, driving continuous quality and efficiency enhancements.
  • Perform quality assurance and handle performance management, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Provide expert advice and support on complex cases within your team.
  • Oversee financial management, ensuring all services are delivered and procured with excellent value for money.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring staff are well-versed in Haringey Council’s requirements.
  • Serve as a positive role model, leading the team with recruitment, induction, training, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment, incorporating wider community and service user engagement wherever possible.
  • Manage health and safety compliance and data protection according to current legislation.
  • Stay informed and distribute knowledge on legislation, safeguarding, and more to keep your team ahead of the curve.
