What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families under the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families, ensuring key welfare needs are identified.
- Complete Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) assessments, facilitating swift and effective interventions.
- Formulate and execute Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, and Looked After Children Care Plans tailored to individual needs.
- Perform home visits and engage with children using play, art, or communication tools, fostering positive relationships.
- Contribute to case conferences, core groups, Looked After Reviews, and court hearings, preparing detailed reports to advocate for children's best interests.
- Manage a diverse caseload with diligence, inclusive of children at risk of harm, in care, or requiring adoption planning.
- Collaborate with families, educational institutions, health professionals, and other agencies to deliver cohesive support.
- Keep meticulous records, adhering to legal and organisational standards for social care.
- Lead and collaborate on Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MASA) and early help strategies.
- Stay informed on policy and legislative changes, engaging in continuous professional development to enhance your practice.
